Maverick Station on the MBTA Blue Line is a two-minute walk. One stop to Aquarium (4 minutes), two stops to State and Government Center. The Blue Line connects to the Green, Orange, and Red lines without leaving the system.

The East Boston Ferry runs from Lewis Wharf to Long Wharf downtown. Logan Airport is one mile away. Route 1A connects to I-93 and the Sumner/Callahan tunnels.

Parks and the waterfront

Piers Park is a five-minute walk, with lawns, a sailing center, and an unobstructed view of the Boston skyline. LoPresti Park borders the harbor at the end of Sumner Street. The East Boston Greenway is a 3.3-mile walking and cycling path connecting Maverick Square to Constitution Beach and Belle Isle Marsh. The Harborwalk runs along the entire East Boston waterfront.

Florenza is a four-minute walk on Sumner Street: espresso, pastries, and Sicilian pizza. MIDA serves Italian on the East Boston waterfront. ReelHouse is on the marina. Maverick Square has taquerias, bakeries, and grocery. The food in Eastie is one of its best-kept qualities.
